64. It seems silly to not use it if they make it - within Vistas lifetime it should start to become the standard.
64. see above for (what in my opinion is) flawless logic
how about after reading this?

I'm tempted to go 64, if enough people do the driver support should improve.

Depends on the kind of support that's out there.. probably 32 bit to start with. I've got X64 XP and the drivers for it still leave a lot to be desired.
I think there's 64 bit drivers for my 8800gts and audigy 2 so that'll keep me going while playing Generals
64-bit too. Even XP x64 wasn't as bad as was made out IMHO - and drivers have to be both 32-bit and 64-bit in a single package to get Vista WHQL certification, so there'll not be many new devices that don't work on the 64-bit version.
Just give it a month or 2 after release and all should be good.
I flirted with XP64 and apart from the the lack of USB driver support was very satisfied with it. Never had a BSoD, very stable. Saying that, I have now reverted back to the 32 bit version, as there is only so long you can live without a printer!
I'll prolly be waiting until SP1 to be released (and no doubt there'll be an SP1a...) before moving over to Vista, but hopefully to the 64bit version

I've got XP for 32bit stuff.

Set up a dual boot -XP for 32 bit and current games, Vista 64 for titting around with and future games.
I'm leaning away from the OEM versions and towards the Upgrade versions, here are my reasons why.
I think I'll be buying Windows Vista Ultimate - Upgrade Edition as an upgrade from my Windows XP MCE because it offers me much more flexibility than the OEM. If I were to purchase the OEM, I'd have to choose 32bit or 64bit and I'd be tied down to only using it on one PC.
However, if I purchase the Upgrade Edition, it will contain both 32bit and 64bit versions on the same disc. Therefore, I'll be able to use it as 32bit on my current PC. When I upgrade my PC later this year, I'll be able to use the same disc on my new PC and install the 64bit version.
can u put an option for "not going to get it"?
I am concerned about flaky drivers in the 64 bit edition, so I will probably buy a retail copy and install it as 32 bit, then when 64 bit becomes more stable I can re-install.
If I have problems with drivers or the more onerous DRM in 64 bit, I will go back again.
