It's memory operations per second. Basically the same as memory bandwidth, the higher your speed and tighter the timing the higher you will score. Processor speed has a big impact on it too.

Yeah, but if it was a 10 now, what would a 10 be in 3 years time?

Yup, that's the idea, the maximum score increases over time. It was 5.8 when Vista was released and appears to be 5.9 now. Unless someone's telling porkies.

Ram speeds seem more reliant on latencies by far, people with 2gb pc 3500 ram have beaten my 2gb of PQI pc6400 (800mhz) ram @850mhz 5-6-6-20. I am going to try running it down at 400mhz cos cpuz says my ram is prgorammed to go to 3-3-3-12. Ill edit my post with a new screenshot when i get my x1900xtx, currently x800xl.

    C2D E4300 1.8 @ 3GHZ
    2gb PQI pc6400 ram
    HIS X800xl iceq turbo II
2 run of the mill 250gb sata 7200rpm drives in raid 0. (hishest speed ive seen in vista resource monitor was 104mb/s

Edit: The lowest i could get to is pc5300/667mhz due to the fact my bus speed is 333 and my lowest memory multiplier is 2.00. The good thing is this still provides latencies of 3-5-5-15 which is ok by me. Unfortunately my score remains the same certainly seemed to boot faster . Althought later on i will lower my core and see it i can boost my score with lower latencies on lower mem speeds.

My system is in my profile.

I'm running Vista 64-bit Home Premium and with my recent HHD upgrade to a Samsung 1TB F1 Spinpoint, my WEI score was 5.9!
