I reckon Wii Fit is going to be Nintendos biggest seller by far, will outsellf Mario galaxy and the other big titles. Nintendo are trying to get everyone invovled and keep everyone happy, 'hardcore' gamers with titles like Galaxy and Metroid, and casual or non-gamers with the novelty of the Wiimote for things like Wii Play, and now the Wii Fit board.
Its genius.
I've read reports on IGN of what its like to use, and it really does give you a workout, you can really work up a sweat.
It is going to be massive.

Can't wait for the launch...
I agree itll probably be a great seller for ninty but theyd better design it well - I got up and waved my arms around when i first got wii sports but now i just lie on the sofa and flick a wrist.
Then again the people who are going to buy this probably arent as lazy as me...
I guess I'd be using it with a fitness outcome / goal in mind. Best make sure there's no chair in front of the wii.
Oh Sh1t. That means no chair in front of the TV.
Pants.
Wii Sports boxing WILL give you a work out. It is more motivational if you play against a friend though.
wii boxing is pretty knackering if you do it properly. I imagine if you got wrist weights you'd tone yourshoulders up fairly fast if nothing else. I haven't looked to far into wii fit, although I do like the idea of it in principle. Nothing new though, eeytoy, and DDR were bloody hard work on high difficulty too.
im sure there has been more than 1 report of people loosing a little weight using a WII fairly actively. Also read about a lad who was recovering from an operation and using a WII to help with hand eye co ordination so they have some beneficial use
Permanently confused
Wii boxing certainly does work up a bit of a sweat, but as Dorza says, only if your playing another person and are fairly competetive. To actually lose weight though I think its going to take some seriously well designed and motivating games...if anyone can do it nintendo can.
There have also been plenty of reports of people injuring themselves playing wii. I hope exercise games arent going to open all those headlines again.
here is something I came across a while ago about someone using the wii to lose some weight http://wiinintendo.net/2007/01/15/wi...iment-results/
Sweeeeet
Looks good.
Like the idea of getting scientific.
Looks like you can lose weight with the wii, hopefully the specially designed fitness games will work even better. The best bit is the lack of any motivation needed because the games are all fun anyway.
Excusing my game playing hours as 'training' is going to be fun.
I reckon itll be six months till stupidly overpriced weight attatchments for the wii remote come out.
Looking forward to trying out the new Wii Fit!

What you think?
Agreed. I'm pretty likely to buy it unless price is silly.
Can't wait for Wii-Fit!
With that 'Balance Board' I think the price might be a little higher than other games. However, Nintendo are usually pretty shrewd about putting these games in the mass market sector so I dont think it will be extortionate - they'll want it to sell like Brain Training did (and still does) for DS. £50 i reckon...maybe even the usual £40 if they keep any graphics as cheap as in Wii Sports. So long as you dont buy any silly 3rd party attachments for it I think the price will be affordable.
