    Arsenal v Liverpool Tonight

Well....it will make for a good return leg but

OMG....Liverpool are SO boring to watch!
The negativity in their play was astonishing.
Surely even as a die hard Liverpool fan some of you can see just how dreary they were/are?

    1. Kuyt score???? Own goal ...... Slap for Clichy
    2. The referee completely lost his nerve for the penalty decision. Someone thats dead couldve seen how obvious that was and the ref was right there in front of it.
    3. Bendtner - Fabregas needs to give him a bloody good clubbing afterwards for stopping that goalbound shot.

I wouldve rather played Man-Yoo.......We wouldve probably lost but at least they play football.

    Nevermind...at least Chelski didnt win!

you'll just have to try harder in the second leg i didn't watch the match but kept up with it on the bbc website and from possession alone arsenal seemed to be dominating :S it sounds like liverpool just hung on.

    Re: Arsenal v Liverpool Tonight

Should be interesting second leg, dont know who will win, but if Arsenal get the first goal at Anfield then I think they may just go through.

Slightly off topic but did anyone seen Ferbenache's second goal, it was an absolute beauty.

Besides that Chelsea were pretty poor, dont know why they dont play Anelka and Drogba up front together.

    Re: Arsenal v Liverpool Tonight

Don't know what everyone is winging about. I thought that given this is the first of 3 meetings in a week that there was sure to be a lot of nerves and cautious play.

I don't think Liverpool played as poorly as you are all saying, but will put that down to bias. What I will say is that if I'm being honest, we were lucky not to loose 3-1. But hey... that's football for you, and the fact Wenger wasn't spouting his top off after the match makes me think it was fair enough.

As for the Chelsea match, I only saw the highlights and from what I saw, they were all over the Turks. That last goal was a stunner though, but my evening was made when Lampard threw a girly fit in the dug out after being subbed off

    Re: Arsenal v Liverpool Tonight

Seems like there are some accusations going round about the ref...didnt watch the match myself so i cant comment.

Rafa is generally pretty shrewd in european games so my money would be on 0-0 in the second leg.

    Re: Arsenal v Liverpool Tonight

We did an away day European job on you, accept it. Liverpool played pretty well at defending and road their luck a bit just as Arsenal did too.
We got our away goal, shut up shop, you huffed and puffed and couldn't get your 2nd goal. Come 10 mins to go you was completely knackered, we then started to have our little poke back but couldn't quite do it just as you couldn't quite do it before.

Liverpool does what is required to get the job done, if it means it has to be ugly then it gets ugly. Do you think Rafa is a retard? Just tell Liverpool to go and try to outplay and go gun ho against Arsenal at their home ground? Arsenal are the kings of pass and move attack football, we would be ripped to shreds... Frankly Liverpool can play however they want away from home aslong as they get back to Anfield with the tie still alive.

Arsenal has a serious problem in that they seem sulk too much and feel sorry for themselves instead of getting on with it. Anfield is revelation on European nights and it will be the ultimate test for the Arsenal players bottle and character, especially if they go a goal down early on.

Its a shame that you cant admit you were ENORMOUSLY lucky to come away with a draw.

Anyone that know 1 iota about football would see that.

Anyone who watched the game would see you had your slice of luck as well not to be sucker punched towards the end. Count yourselves lucky not to be heart broken right now looking at a completely undeserved defeat.

to win any trophy you need the right tactics and lots of luck, you might play well at times and demolish teams (besiktas) but if lady luck isn't on your side come crunch time you're ****ed

    Spoken like a true scouser.
Cant even admit it when you stuck 11 behind the ball and played THE MOST boring game of your European lives.
