No helmet in there chap?? Maybe lose the computer (only good for geekage tbh) and spend that £35 on a decent fitting helmet. They are worth it and the 2 I've wrecked have quite literally saved my life I reckon.

I'd stick with the GT that you liked the look of, but can't helping thinking it's a bit on the big side if you're going off road...
They also have a large version available now. I'm ordering tomorrow so I will ring them agan and ask them what they think! Ok lid it is Completly forgot about it to be honest.... Any ones in particular which won't cost me a fortune?

Thing to do with a helmet is set yourself a budget, and find the best fit/most comfortable one you can afford. I got a Met Veleno (velly velly nice, for me) for just under £60 - but my last one worked just as well and it was a Giro for £30

I use Giro helmets alot - have a look on stif, as they have good prices up at the moment... I use a Giro Animas, and then have a fullface carbon as well - but giro do some decent helmets for £35-£100!!
Best thing to do is go to a LBS, and try them on - then check the net for a cheaper price.
Thanks for the help guys. I won't be ordering the helmet today as im at uni and can't get to a LBS to try one on.
Will order the rest though minus the computer

Well guys, the bike still hasnt arrived. I finally got throug to chain reaction cycles yesterday after 35 trys on the phone, yes 35!! There telephone service is a nightmare and they don't reply to emails.
They told me yesterday that it would definetly be here today. I though, well ok as long as it is. And today NOTHING! I rang them up again only took 25 times to get through this time! And the guy (same guy) says its still at the warehouse and he HAS NO IDEA why it has not been sent.
I will never use them again. Useless service to be honest. They took my money ok on the days i ordered it though. Thats the only thing they do fast! No idea when im getting it now. I took yesterday and today of work for nothin so im going in the rest of the week. If the bike isnt dispatched today ill be cancelling my order (which you have to ring them to do) and bringing my custom elsewhere.
Wiggle who i ordered some stuff from sent iton the thursday and i got it last friday! Next day and thats from England! Whereas chain reaction cycles is about 50 miles from my house and they cant even mange to tell me whats taken it so long!!! GRRRRRRR
Rant over.

Unusual I have to say. Only ever had brilliant service from CRC.
certainly seems to be the exception - like Lowe I've never had anything short of blinding servce from them..... no-one's 100% perfick though..

Life is telling you to get a Merlin
Lol well i finally got through today guys. They could give me no reason why it hadn't yet been sent but i told the guy on the phone (the same guy i talked to last time who is a really nice guy) that if it wasn't here by tomorrow i no longer wanted it.
The guy went down to the warehouse and rang me back twenty minutes later saying it was being built and tested now and that he would personally make sure it would be here tomorrow. Lo and behold, parcel force now has my stuff
So in the end one guy saved my order. Im still hesitant about ordering with them again as i found wiggle to be much better. But who knows.
Mark
