New SSD

Hey,

I'm just wondering if I could get some advice, I'm looking to pick up a SSD for a boot drive,

Has anyone got any experience with the corsair F90 series?

They look very good in reviews but I'd like to see some real world user oppinions before I make the buy.

Have the F120. Compared to a mechanical drive it's exactly as you'd expect - super quick, especially in access times. New windows, new browser pages etc. open instantly. I've not had any need to copy between SSD locations, so haven't felt any improvement there, as I'm still limited by the source/destination drive. I haven't installed any games to the SSD yet, applications load quicker, but not instantly. Windows boots quicker (the glowy windows icon on boot up doesn't get to finish it's animation) and the computer shuts off very quickly, but that's hardly something that's of vital importance.

For me, yes. Has made a few clicks difference in computer speed and it makes photo editing quicker.

If you have the money I imagine it'd be a cool little bonus It'd probably pay for itself over the course of a year or two in terms of efficiency if you use your computer for work. Those few less seconds booting up and the slightly improved app start speed would add up over time

I intend to get one one day, when I have some money to burn..
