    N299 BT Port Number?

Hi, does anyone know which ports the N299 uses for it's BT client? I need it to setup my router for port forwarding.

    Thanks in advance.

I have forwarded the standard BT ports to my N299 (6881-6999) but this seems to still result in very slow transfers so I second this question.

What did you do if you don't mind me asking? Did you setup the system or the downloads in a particular way or something?

    Thx

    Re: N299 BT Port Number?

I set up port range forwading on my router.

To do this it somewhat depends on the router you are using. I have a Linksys and I used the Port Range Forwading under the Gaming and Applications tab. For netgear you need to set up an application and then apply the rule for that application. Other routers may vary.

Do a google on your router and port forwading should get some more concise instructions.

Personally I found the Bit Torrent client on the NAS to be a little lacking in performance compared to BitTyrant on my PC. (was maxing at 30kbps on the NAS and 400kbps on the PC) Also the NAS got turned off half way through a download and now the Client page doesn't even load (Presume I need a re-install of the firmware, Will probably wait for the next update anyways).

    Re: N299 BT Port Number?

How I can extend torrent sharing time? Download manager gives me only 72h max sharing time? But I want sharing files always. How to correct?

And main question - does someone has upload on BT? I haven`t yet.
