Cool How To Create 7 Independent Disks N7700

    Hi,

Is there any way in the N7700 setup of creating 7 independent disks? What I would like to do is use the unit as a backup device where one of the hot swappable drives is removed off site on a daily basis and returned the following day.

I tried to make each drive JBOD but there is a limit of 3 different raid creations per system.

All I want to do is make each of the 7 drives act independentantly. Is there a way of achieving this?

    Thanks in advance...

    Duke

    Dear Sir,

More RAID volume would take more system performance, thus we limitated up to 3 RAID volume for balancing between RAID and performance.

    Hi,

I am assuming you guys are using some form of Linux. Can't we just treat each disk like a normal hard disk with no RAID configuration whatsoever? Then there is no performance hit or issues. If you guys could include something like that in a firmware upgrade it would be awesome...

As long as they are still hot swappable then it will give the Thecus box so much more flexibility and uses into the future.
