N7700 RAID setup - need help

    Hello!

I need some input on setting up a N7700 RAID. Im pretty new on this. My current system is running three 1.5TB drives, however now I'm going for the big plunge and buying 7 x 2TB WD20EADS-drives.
This will result in a total of 14 TBs. Anyone tested this? It looks like the drives are not the quickest, however thats inferior to space for me.As long as they dont lock up or anything im happy.

However, I've set my mind on RAID 5 now since it seems the best vs safest for my use. However, the N7700 OS cant automtically read 14 GB.

    So down to the core:
After plowing through some threads here I found the XFS as a possible solution, however is this stable under the N7700?
Is it better/possible to implement a system with two RAIDS working in parallell and how would this affect performance in general?
And not the least how would i do this to make it work?
Please, can anyone point me to some good blogs etc that discusses this?

    XFS is your answer.

    Raid-5 ext3 will max out at 8TB

XFS can go to 14EB (Exabyte)

Where did you find the RE4 WD 2TB drives for sale?

    NewEgg is marked as backordered
