Help - no access to 5200 after FW upgrade

    Hello everyone.

I have upgraded my 5200BR from 1.00.8 to 2.00.14. The box rebooted and
during the bootup process it briefly displayed 2.00.14, so I guess the process was
successful. Also, I can see minor differences in the LCD display cycle, so this
    is also another "confirmation".

However, I have no access to the WEB interface ("Cannot display the webpage")!
Before upgrading I backed up everything and deleted the RAID configuration
(the log had Disk fail entries but the RAID status was healthy, so I thought I could experiment a bit).

The setup wizard finds the box (network configuration and admin password were not affected),
but I cannot do anything else with it either.

Bottom line, I have not lost any data, but I don't have any access to the box in order to create
any kind of RAID, install modules, etc. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Re: Help - no access to 5200 after FW upgrade

    Well, here's the update:
Flashing the unit with a USB stick solved the problem.
The only thing is that an exclamation mark appears on the
right side of the top row in the LCD screen, even after rebooting.
Everything else seems OK (RAID, data, fsck, etc). Does anyone know
    what is this all about?

hmm, seems the first update was not 100% successfull - it's a big step from 1.00.08 to 2.00.14 - and the first 2.x firmware release had included some basic changes. Nevertheless this should not happen.

    Exclamation mark:
The exclamation mark tells you that there are new log messages int the HBT log (at the LCD screen).

You enter the HBT log by just pressing the ESC button.

Then (and it is important that you're IN the HBT log) press the Down and Enter button the same time and your HBT log gets cleared and the exclamation mark disappears.

    Thanks Peter!
There were 10 HBT log entries, all blank !?!?!
Anyway, the ex.mark is gone now.

BTW, it's my understanding that by installing the SSHD and SYSUSER modules you
get telnet access to the box, correct? I installed both, enabled them (and rebooted),
but I get 'connect failed' errors. Am I doing something wrong?

    Cheers
    Vassilis

It's not telnet but ssh access (I'm not sure, but I think the reflection client can also be setup as ssh client) - please change Your default password of the user sys via the module property page.
