Their price is way too high with $$$ conversion though.

Diskless is $1667 with $250 shipping from UK.

So, I will stay with QNAP

QNAPS I am looking for are delayed to 8/20/2009, and my funding got extended because of both being delayed. So now I have to 9/1/2009 to buy these.

So, if Thecus can get their act together and get this device to the USA like IVAN said, by 8/17, I'll stick with Thecus

So Ivan, please contact me, as you said you would, keeping me informed as to the USA status for these devices.

I have received confirmation from our US office that N7700SAS have arrived in the US on Monday 17th of Aug.

Tests will have to be done before the stock is sent to the resellers, therefore, most resellers will have the stock available in two weeks.

Just upgrade your processor to a T7400, the 2.16Ghz C2D that the N7700SAS uses, and you'll basically have the same device minus a few bells and whistles, and I bet the N7700SAS uses measurably less power than the N7700 with that processor changeover, and is significantly faster...
Somoene has tried a T7600, and it barely works--it tends to lock up... so maybe a T7500 might work??? But T7400 will definitely work so it seems. Nice new 3.0.06 FW available, too for the 7700 line.
