hi all,

am i naive to try map a folder of my NAS through the net ?

i mean this N3200PRO is sitting in a server-hotel behind a firewall

i can browse it via http and https so the firewall lets me in for sure

RAID1 is set up (simply mirror)

configuring NFS share for the folder I add " * " (a star) as hostname, " rw " for the privilege and access as a " root user "

ACL setting: all users and groups given to WRITABLE ("recursive" is checked, i dont have a clue what that means)

and then i try to map , or first i try to access thru a browser or a "my computer" like:

\\ip.of.my.hotel\raid\folder

(the "raid\folder" meaning comes from NFS settings where at mounting point is so)

results nothing at all or wait...it does: unaccessible

i wonder where i go wrong.

appreciated any commment
