    N4100 pro raid data percentage

Hello there, I just got my N4100 PRO with 4 1.5TB WD green drives.

I am confused when I was ask to set data percentage. After some research, I was told that it was reserved for USB copying/some iSCSI functionalities.

My question is, how does this work exactly and how do I determine how much space to reserve?

5% of 4.5TB is 180GB, I wouldn't want to waste that much space for some copy cache...

It is also confusing as why and how this all works. Sadly enough that thecus do not provide enough information on this. A help function (which is usually included in routers and/or even BIOS setups) near the related entries would be much nicer.

please let me help me decide how much space to reserve. Thanks.

    Dear unionaire,

You can set the amount of space you need at the moment first, then you can always utilize the unused space later by expanding your existing RAID volume.
