    possible to run xp with 256, vista is a no no tho. and since that is the sucessor to xp it probably would be better to get more ram. unless you already got enough.

    over 6GB on xp and you will encounter performance issues, and on something like a 1.3ghz its probably not even worht getting 4gb.

    However, get a fatal1ty board, drop in a couple of 512mb graphics cards, add a kentfield, then add those nice chips and you have something that will blow holes in the other makes. ( of course your looking around £3000+ )

    Actually he said 'any additional RAM is always better' which is completely incorrect, especially in the context of this conversation.

    vista will eat 2 gig like it aint even there!!! im using 4 gig and already using 27%

    Very very tempting.

    Just not enough money in the world for everything though . IP35 Pro £100, a standy thing for my monitor £35, this £175...

    But worth the upgrade in a few months time when I can migrate to 64 bit!
