    PSU size and Antec P180/P182

I ordered an Enermax Galaxy 1000W EGA1000EWL ATX2.2 Modular Powersupply
YoYo Code ::98141 and a Antec P182 Gun Metal Black Case YoYo Code ::74996 (among other things obviously). Since the dimensions of the PSU were not available on the website and I naturally assumed standard PSUs to fit into standard cases, I was very surprised to find that the PSU does not fit.

The problem here is either the enclosure is too small (unlikely since everyone seems to be building systems with P180s or 182s), or the PSU is abnormally large.

Should I be returning/exchanging the PSU or the case? Any advice would be appreciated.

Sidenote: The remainder of the system is due to be:
    Dell 30in WFP_HC native 2560x1500
XFX Geforce 8800 Ultra XT 768Mb
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 S775, 2.40Ghz, 1066Mhz FSB, Conroe Core
    OCZ 2GB(1 x 1GB) Kit 1066MHZ PC8500 2X1024MB 5-5-5-15 Memory
    Asus P5N32E-SLI 680i 1066FSB Socket 775 Dual DDR2 PCI-E SATA2
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler Intel (Skt 775)
    Pioneer DVR-112BK 18xDVD+/-R Dual Layer/RAM DVD Writer - Black
    Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer
    with various irrelevant peripherals.

The high wattage PSU is anticipatory for an SLi in the future when the system gets obsolete. I suppose 1KW is still overkill.

I would choose a different PSU, 1MW of power is more then your system needs.
700-800W will do and those PSUs are probably smaller and more likely to fit, check with the manufactures site to find out if the new PSU will fit.

Any SLi approved supply should rock...

...with the new modulars from Cooler Master and the 620 from Corsair...

    ...you are spoiled for choice

(I also had the HEXUS forums on speed dial just in case )
