Funny you should say that, i've bought from them
The best thing is going into ther shop, got to tell you, dont know anyone that shows off ther products the way they do. Seen how they work, guys in the shop are tending to custpomers, have heard the phones ring alot. Bought my rig from them, did have problem, they sorted it, helped me alot!
I saw wot i wanted to buy before hand, thats cool !!
Dont knw any shop that has a range to show customers like them

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

it has been a week since this happened and theres still a hold on my credit card.

would someone from yoyotech please let me know what is going on and the best course of action to now take.

sure you can blame DA BANKZ but the facts stand that yoyotech charged my card 3 times and theres still a hold on it.

edit: have just contacted my bank who have advised i must contact yoyotech as they must advise the bank that they are no longer going to charge me. they said it could take up to 28 days for yoyotech to reverse the transaction, fantastic.

maybe the bank can blame yoyotech and yoyotech can blame the bank. any system that breaks down like this needs to be looked at by any retailer as it directly equates to lost business.

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

Assuming Yoyotech are using a similar payment processor (Protx/Streamline) to the company I work for, it is a real pain to clear PRE-AUTHS as even when you do put in the request, the payment processor doesn't work on them straight away because they use the money to make money....

All in all it's a real pain for you AND Yoyotech but it's the way the system works in the UK

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

I'm struggling to find why i should beware of Yo Yo Tech?

Simply if you wanted the case so badly you would have collected it yourself, it's tough luck that somebody else got it.

With regards to your cred card problems i don't think it would be fair to blame a retail store for what is in fact to do with bank authorisation.

Sounds more like a spoilt brat who didnt get what he wanted when he wanted, it's happened to the best of us before but attempting to brand the retail store as one people to be aware of is simply moronic.

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

thanks for your insightful comments raverbaby, thanks for also digging up this thread.

maybe youve had too many disco biscuits to concentrate on the whole thread so ill try to summarise so things dont sound too 'moronic' for your attention span.

i did attempt to collect the case. at 4:30pm my 2 crdeit cards were both declined (nothing wrong with them, they were both used before and after this transaction) so at 4:40 i called to say i would collect the case only to be told someone had just walked in and bought the case. only one in stock, what a coincidence.

as for my credit card problems the money is still on hold on my credit card, this is not one but 3 transactions that for some reason were declined. i contacted my bank who said it is yoyotech who must reverse the trasaction yet this still has not happened. putting the bank problems in perspective i buy goods for a large company and have 4 cards that i use at a variety of retailers daily and have never had a problem with any of the cards until using yoyotechs system. i sympathise with them that its the bank doing the transcation but the fact remains that they still have my money.

maybe youre a spoilt brat if you attempt to buy goods and dont get what you asked, how crazy to expect to get things that you pay for, when they arrive i do feel spoilt.

i have just detailed the facts of the transaction and my experience with the retailer, is there something wrong with that, maybe im just too 'spoilt'.

    dozer.

Read the rules, attacking other members is totally UNACCEPTABLE. I nearly wrote this after you changed to 'gangsta' speak just due to the nickname one of the YOYOtech staff has.

Please calm down and stop attacking people otherwise we will have to start treating you with the same distain you seem to be showing other equal members of this community.

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

My question would be why has this particular transaction gone wrong, why was the transaction "flagged" in the first place. dozer has stated that he has used this card on various occasions without any problems. So first I would demand the release of any funds being held by the card company, and threaten to drop any further business with them if the problem is not resolved in x amount of days. I would follow this up with a letter to the card company's Head Office (get the name of the head honcho in Customer Services and send it personally), In the letter I would ask him/her for an explanation as to how this happend, unless that is you want a repeat of these problems on any future transactions. I've had similar problems with credit card companies and it is frustrating. I will also add that the "spoiled brat" comment made by raverbaby contributed nothing to solving the problem in this thread, the only purpose was to wind people up!

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

I work in retail as well but in the clothing industry. We have daily issue's with banks and unfortunately it's us as retailers that look like fools. BRING BACK THE DAY'S OF CASH TRANSACTIONS PLEASE

You guys at YT have my sympathy especially with the cash amount of your transactions. When you pay for a pair of jeans you not really looking at tranactions of over say £50's

Guys have patience the banks are a joke believe as I have complaints everyday. Damn I also get miffed when it goes wrong but hey how many shops in the UK do you get like yoyotech around.

YT carry on doing the excellent work you guys are doing.

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

That's disgusting dozer. If I were you I would either close my accounts with my bank or start fraud procedings against yoyotech. It has been well over a month now is your bank going to start charging you interest on these charges??

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

well they arent actually charges, they just hold the money. its taken off my available balance but doesnt appear as a transaction so no interest is charged. its just annoying that i have 3x the transaction for over a month now. the bank have said it could take a while and that its up to yoyotech.

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

Dozer, if the payments were declined then YT I believe won't have the money, YT correct me if I'm wrong. If a payment has gone through then that to me would be totally weird, I'd still be inclined to ring up the back/card and ask them the actual status of the transaction(s) ie have they actually gone through, are they pending or have they been frozen as the card is on hold?

Also there's nothing that YT can do if your cards on hold, you'll have to ring them up and explain.

Re: WARNING - my experience with yoyo....

Also check your statements. YT is not a type of company that would go out of there way to make it difficult for customers. Damn I have on going issues with the store I run with GE capital but its us that get the blame and believe me it is so frustrating.

Contact the bank first and get all the info then take your statement into YUT or take copies of it and send the copies in. YT will sort it out if it's a mistake on there side.

The only reason I shop at YT is because of the service I get and if I had bad service I would be shopping somewhere else believe me. The guys are only to willing to help
