    Return possible faulty MSI motherboard

If I returm this motherboard with an RMA sheet, is this sufficient information on the problem?

    ITEM DESCRIPTION
MSI G33M-F1 Motherboard with installed Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 CPU and OCZ OCZ671024V 1024MB 667MHZ PC5400 DDR2 memory (all purchased at same time)

    ITEM SERIAL NUMBER Motherboard – 10k0710004530 CPU – q712a328 Memory - 4739

    DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM
PLEASE NOTE – FAULTY / DEAD / INTERMITTENT ARE NOT ADEQUATE
After installation, the PC worked perfectly for about 3 weeks and then would not power up at all. I installed a new PSU but there is still no power. I have swapped the mains lead and checked and rechecked the cabling and everything seems to be fitted correctly.

Do I need to get a RMA number before returning the goods?

Is there anything else I should try before assuming it is a faulty motherboard?

    Hi
Thats enough info for you to send it
use your invoice(transaction) number as the rma number
Once received, we will look into it

    Cheers

Re: Return possible faulty MSI motherboard

Thanks for the speedy reply. My son will be in the West End on Saturday, so will bring it direct to the store.

I understand there is a charge if the MB is found not to be faulty. Is this correct? How long would it normally take to do the testing and offer a replacement if it is faulty?

    Regards

    Hi
If your son comes in and see myself Kul
If it is faulty, am sure we can turn that around pretty quick
there could be a service charge of £15 if found not to be faulty,
However if your certain it is faulty, no charge

    Regards
    Kul
