right here is a list of the items one of my friends is looking at for his new computer , he has ordered a samsung syncmaster screen for around £150. please say if antything is missing from the list so i can notify him. Also he is wondering on whether the asus p5kc motherboard will work with a geforce graphics card?? if not can u mention if there is anything that can run in sli mode with the graphics card and how he would go about setting it up to.

oh think i found something.. what sort of card reader is best and how much will that be

scrap the patriot, get some cheap OCZ pc2-6400 ram for like £35 and as for card dreaders, i quite like akasa's range of stuff

gfx cards work with any mobo with the same connector, e.g. pci-e 16x with a pci-e gfx card.

dont go sli, dont consider it the asus p5k premium/ abit offerings are both good based on p35

thanks he mentioned to me on the phone is there anything you can recommend motherboard wise ( he likes the Asus P5N32 SLI Premium motherboard is that a good choice or is the p5kc better choice ?? ) and ram that wont cost a bomb and is quite good for gaming.

ram really doesnt matter what make if not overclocking, as long as you get a good brand name e.g. OCZ, Crucial e.t.c

RAM doesnt matter for gaming, 2GB should be fine,

i suggest a NON SLI motherboard, AsUs P5k Premium for example..

ok.. asus p5k premium is about right, he said he will wait a bit for the price to go down a bit on it. because the board seems to have put him a little over what he wanted. he will probably choose the p5k premium though anyway.
