    BFG 8800GT OC2 Crashing...

    Hi guys..

I've got a problem with my 88GT. It freezes and crashes all the time. It stared with GRID, then rFactor and COD4. I have recorded a video when I was playing COD4.
    Youtube = watch?v=bQ4rv6gwoGU
Sometimes it just restarts the computer, sometimes it freezes. I dont know what to do. The temps are ok. The last it was about 62 and it crashed.

I bought the card last month. What should I do? Am I able to get a refund or exchange for another card?

    Thanks.

    Hi
The first step would be to get this card into us, so we can get it tested
If you fill in the form and send or bring it in,
we will get our tech guys to look at it
    Regards

    Re: BFG 8800GT OC2 Crashing...

    Hi Kul,
Thanks so much for your reply,

I did it this morning, I left my VGA. Dont know the person who spoke with me.
    I have a question...
The person said to me that the card will be tested and after they will call me. Ok. So far, so good. But what happens if the card is faulty. Will you send the card back to BFG as a RMA?
Am I gonna have to wait the all RMA whitout any card? What about the 1 year warranty with YoYotech? And for me it was only 1 month.

I tested my system with another VGA card, X1950XT and I played for 2 hours and nothing happened. So, for sure it is the VGA. And if I`m not wrong the X1950XT needs more power than the 88GT.
So, its not the PSU as he said.

    My System:
    Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition
    Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM
    BFG 8800GT 512MB OC2
    Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2 800MHZ
    OCZ StealthXStream 600W

    It might be helpful.

As I said to him, I`m leaving UK soon, I`m not sure if I`ll be here to wait the RMA be completed.

I hope you can understand that.
    Best Regards,

    Giovanni.

    Re: BFG 8800GT OC2 Crashing...

Well, as I knew and as I explained to you guys at the first time, the VGA is faulty, it keeps crashing, I have just received an E-mail from BFG Tech and they accepted my RMA. I said to them just what I had said for you guys.

After playing for a while, the computers crashes and restarts, I can hear 1 LONG beep and TWO shorts (which means VGA problem) before the computer restarts, then the computer restarts without video, it stills with no video until I switch off and switch on again, it is a VGA problem.
When I got the card after "some test" which the salesman couldn't explain about, I re-install ALL my system. I played for a while and nothing happened, I dont have too much time to stay hours playing. Yesterday I had time and I tried to play Medal of Honor Airbone, I mean, I tried, because it crashed in less than 10 minutes.

What I want is an answer, because it was about one month after I bought when I tried to exchange for the first time. I explained that I'm moving soon, I cannot wait for a RMA be completed. I don't mind in pay something to get a new card, doesn't need to be the same. I just don't want loose all the money I put on it.

Before you say that my PSU, MOBO or RAM can be the problem, I still have my old vga, which is a ATI X1950XT, and it uses more power than a 88GT and I can play hours and nothing happens. So, the problem is the VGA, it came with problem.

I really don't like to act like this, but I believe you would do the same. It really upsets me.
I'm sure you guys can do something, keep up the good service, it is most importante these days.
I`m looking forward to hearing from you.
    Best Regards,
    Giovanni.
