Error Code 01 Abit KV8 Pro 3rd Eye

Hi All!.

Im new in this community and I would like to solve a problem with my motherboard.

I get the 01 Error Code: Expand the Xgroup codes locating in physical address 1000:0

I have cleared the CMOS data but i still have this error.

Someone Could tell me plz if he knows a solution?

btw fyi it's really more of a status code than an error code.

it happens when i connect de power supply to the motherboard. at first it shows a 5 number and then the 01 code...

but does the mobo actually POST if you want it to?
also are there any . in the code e.g. is 0.1. or just 01 (or even 1.)?

sorry for the delay i couldnt connect earlier.

I dont understand your cuestion. as soon as i put the power supply to the mother board it takes power and shows the 01 code :S is the 01 not the 0.1

If I remember correctly when connecting power to the motherboard it should display the GURU ver. (05) then the motherboard ver. (01).
Then once you hit the power button it should cycle through the post codes C1,04,25,26, etc before stopping at FF.

voodoo it does that but when i pulse the power button it doesnt do nothing :S maeby i have connect something wrong? i will check it again :S and connect all :S.

You were right, the power button swich had a cable disconnected.
