HTC Sensation or Samsung Galaxy S 2?

Tbh Mark i like to upgrade and have never taken windows 6.5 of the HD2 so just want a new phone. If you want an HD2 message me

It seems like the devs are moving away (or already have) from the HD2 so if I picked another one up I'd not really be getting anything in the way of updates to the Android ports (am surprised you kept WM6.5 on there ) but thanks for the offer

My housemate + his GF have just had upgrades and both went for the Sensation... doesnt seem as big as the SGSII though I've not held both phones at the same time to compare... Hmm I think I'm going to try to stay strong and keep my £400 until something even better comes out.

the way i look at it is, there is always something better around the corner, thats just how it is, but i detest apple so i dont care what they have and i think it will be november time before the galaxy and sensation are ultimately replaced

SG2 all the way love HTC but since I ve had the SG2 I knew I made the correct decision.

I can probably hold out til November... EDGE is pathetic but I get WiFi at work and at home, so it's only on the move that I need a data connection, and considering I get the tube to work it's only when I'm on the move to somewhere new that I might need to bring up a map (jees Bing Maps is dire) and notice the pain of EDGE.

Regarding the Sensation vs i9100, the Samsung is £30 more than the Sensation, has a lower resolution screen and only one button on the front... I dont know which I'd choose, and perhaps it's also because of this that I'm going to wait it out...

OR... why dont you HSPL/MAGLDR/etc your HD2 and try MIUI/CM7/another Android rom

There are rumours of a special edition sensation coming out, so maybe better to wait.

4gb is actually the internal storage memory (not the RAM) which has always been an issue with HTC phones. Still poor compared to Samsung who have always been generous in this department with 16/32gb.
Also HTC headphones are awful (i've had to replace mine 3 times in the last few months) and hopefully Beats will be a massive improvement.

I need to learn to read... Saw 4GB and then 8GB SD card... assumed first was RAM, despite it clearly saying 768mb... d'oh!

Will be interesting to see if the release of the iPhone 5 has much impact on SGSII/Sensation pricing. Fingers crossed!

Sensation XE @ £499 on Amazon... was £607 when I looked yesterday, seems they've shaved £100 off overnight...

Still overpriced but maybe it'll drive down the regular Sensation price...

I'd hazard a guess at the HTC Runnymede...

Though it's 4.7" screen and there's conflicting info as to whether it's 480x800 (WVGA, ie step backwards) or qHD (ie Sensation, 540x960).
