I wanted it so much, but I never quite dared to believe; I don't so much feel elation right now as relief. I feel better about the world today than I did yesterday, but that's not to say that I'm exuberant. The world still faces great challenges, and a leadership change in the world's most powerful nation doesn't alter that fact....but it's still good.

And while I'm here, can I get a to Senator John McCain, a great American who has served his country with undoubted heroism and who has conducted himself in this campaign with great dignity, exemplified tonight in his concession speech. I salute you sir.
