Yes, if 97% of white peeps had voted for McCain it would have been seen as racist, but 97% of black peeps voting for Obama isn't... that may be understandable given the circumstances, but it is double standards.

I dunno how many of you watched his victory speech live at about 5am, but the man knows how to speak! Very impressive.

So far, from what I've seen (and I haven't made a point of watching too many speeches, but I have seen a fair bit of news coverage and did watch a couple of the debates), I've seen far more prose and hype than I have concrete policies, and I fear his main attractions were that he's a slick and personable presenter (but then, so was Blair), and that he's not-Bush.

So I'll wait and see what he does, rather than what he says he'll do.

I hope he earns a woot from me, but only time will tell. The same would have applied to McCain, by the way.
