    Formal name for 'shelf stacking'?

Says it in the title really, what's the formal name for shelf stacking?

I'd like to get a job doing it whilst I'm still at school, and possibly whilst I'm in college, so I need to know.. my mum says it's just called shelf stacking but it seems informal to me.

    Thanks

In America the job title would probably be something like, "Produce Replenishment Manager". Shelf stacker to you and I.

Look in the back of your local paper as you often get ads from Tescos and Sainsbury's.

Can I recommend an alternative way to earn pocket money? Work on a building site. When I was young I worked on building sites in my holidays to earn some money to top up my grant. I gained lots of building/construction skills to the point where I could eventually work as a qualified carpenter if my Computer Science degree got screwed up! Saves a fortune on building jobs in my flat these days as I don't have to call in builders unless it's for things like plumbing.

I think my official title when I was a shelf stacker with sainsburys was a "shelf assistant", and now i'm a "checkout assistant" .
