Wobble Flopper. Although in some parts of eastern Portugal and almost all of Sudan, the term 'Crainer' is in common useage.

I wish we had some shelf stackers at my local Sainsburys. It's so annoying when you go to buy some basic foodstuffs at 9.00pm on a weekday only to find the shelves empty.

merchandisers have no decision-making authority. they just rearrange displays which does involve restacking them for the most part.

Well I just sent the form off to Tesco, wrote a letter to Sainsburys and sent that off, and got an application form to fill in from Kwik Save (they ask for tons of info.. 7 pages infact).

    Different to our sainsburys then

We had: 'Replenishment assistant' for the basic 'shelf stacker' jobs, and 'counter assistant' for those on counters (natch).

There were so many little titles you could get too depending on which department you were on

not as bad as maccies though where you get a promotion every week iirc (never had to lower myself to a fast food job though, yet )

So glad I have left retail, try building if you can, retail jobs really are some of the worst available. Great fora month but then you will dread going to work each day, especially if you get some of the better paid shifts (5-1 was what i did regularly on produce for example)

    *hugs his new IT job*

    *edit* http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/aboutus/...=nav_secondary

When I did my work experience at Iceland in Birkenhead (don't laugh), I spent the whole week trying to come up with a good title for myself so I wouldn't get laughed at when I told people about it. I think I came up with 'Assistant Goods Repository Technician'. Sounded a bit better than 'Royally Screwed'!
