But BF3 only does MSAA up to x4...

It looks like the die comes to around 319MM2 in area not the published 294MM2. It seems similar in size to the GF104 and GF114.

I'm not sure - TTL (****) had 'x8' in a few of his review charts as well for it, i did ask him why but never got a reply.

But yeah, BF3 does only go up to x4 in-game.

    Interesting.

I still think Nvidia were being unfair on Hexus though and then a Chinese website actually leaks info.

    Edit!!

Why is the BF3 result covered up for the HD7970??

Shame I'll never be able to afford the flagship. My hopes are for either a) drives down AMD prices or b) the 660 is out before or alongside Ivy!

Re: Anyone Know When The Next Gen Nvidia Cards Are Being Released

    Gimboid Gits!!

Someone on TPU linked to my pictures directly without mentioning OcUK where he had nicked them from. Then I started a thread about the benchmarks and the flipping editor seems to have copied the pictures I saved(just look at them side to side) and now TPU has put up an article!!

    Look at this picture:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/img/12-03-16/179a.jpg

    http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/s...E-FIFTH/k1.png

I had to reduce the webpage size so I could get the pictures smaller for the screenshot.

Blocked at work. Is that the image of GPUz showing default of 700Mhz, and full boost of 1005Mhz ?
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Re: Anyone Know When The Next Gen Nvidia Cards Are Being Released

Hmm. So NVIDIA are doing 'adaptive' v-sync, as are Lucid with Virtu MVP that ships with Z77 boards. Interesting. I wonder if they'll conflict, and which will be more effective...

Also, why would NVIDIA opt for both DVI-I and DVI-D ports?

Re: Anyone Know When The Next Gen Nvidia Cards Are Being Released

If you look at the game benchmarks the GTX680 is only around 27% faster overall than the GTX580 tested. This is less than the GTX280 to GTX480 transition.

    At least BF3 seems OK.
