Living in London, I've pretty much always had rubbish cars with the exception of a brief fling with bikes - when I worked in Central London.

    G-reg Maestro - totalled - my fault
M-reg Maestro - driven to death
    S-reg MX-5 1.8i - bit of a performance jump!
H-reg Astra estate - driven to death
    E-reg Peugeot 505GTi - driven to death

    51 Vespa 50cc - totalled - not my fault
Y Gilera Coguar - totalled - not my fault

M-reg Peugeot 306 - parked by the Thames and then flooded

51/2001 Passat TDi - 1st nice car since the MX-5

Now looking for something a bit bigger due to a baby, so considering:

    Passat Estate
    BMW 3/5 estate
    Jag x-type estate

Anyone got any comments on those cars?

    - Renault 5 Campus 1.1 - notable experience steam bellowing from the engine on the fast lane of a motorway!! (split water pipe)
    - Ford Fiesta 1.25 LX (zetec) - totalled not my fault
    - Nissan Sunny 1.3 F reg. suprisingly reliable until it broke
    - Isuzu Trooper 3.1 swb diesel turbo
    - Skoda Fabia 1.4 8v
    - VW Passat TDI 1.9 (tuned) V nice

Boredom: I'd recommend the TDI 130 Passat Estate

    In order, that i've owned:

998cc mini clubman - scrapped, both subframes went
series 2a lightweigh landrover - scrapped, was a pile of rust with ally body shell
1985 audi coupe, 1.8 - engine kept breaking - stripped it for bits for the following, then scrapped.
1984 audi quattro turbo, WR 2144cc - sold
1982 swb audi quattro turbo, based on WR - still own
    1991 90 defender - still own

I now have my two dream vehicles... well, realistically anyway.

Scary when you list them! Me and Lowe used to know a guy nicknamed 'Pigsy' (to jog Lowe's memory lol) that would blow any list apart! I kid you not, the lad had a new car every few days! He struggled to get private insurance, because the tried to say he was a trader due to all the changes!

Oh come off it, you blagged everything you had for the Valver, you didn't pay for any of it

And yes, Pigsy could shame the lot of us with his collection. If a car lasted a week it was probably bullet proof with the way he used to drive them too!

Ok..ok...perks of being in the motor trade for so long! I'll re-phrase "fitted lots of parts, that should have cost a lot of money to it, but were actually free!"

    That better?

In NO WAY WHATSOEVER was there any sort of other rolling occurring. Ok?
