    Re: Battlefield 1

Was the resolution scaling 45% for anyone else? I upped it to 70ish and kept most things at ultra, have fxaa and ssao at 1440p. I'm getting around 50-80 fps with my 970. Has anyone else found a way to toggle running for controllers?

^This. It's infuriating being a solider trying to take out a tank with what essentially amount to pea shooters...or a fart in a box.

I tend to hide and wait for the tank to pass....over than that, having a fair bit of fun with it

    Re: Battlefield 1

    Overall I enjoyed the Beta.
There were occasions where there were snipe fests, but if the other team came in with tanks the snipers had no chance of winning the game so suddenly it all changed. The sniper is easy though, I hate being sniper in any game, but ended up being one due to collecting a gun for one reason or another and surprisingly got a lot of 1 and 2 shot kills without too much effort.

Experienced a few bugs with climbing, and tanks disappearing whilst you were inside it amongst others.

The map was good I enjoyed it, the layout had a 1942 whiff about it. It was probably the closest feel to my all time favourite map, Tobruk.

    Re: Battlefield 1

I had quite a lot of fun with it. I got pretty good at taking out tanks with the AT grenade after a while.

Playing without a HUD looks like good old fashioned fun:

Jackfrags was being a sniper whore in that vid admittedly though! Assault class could have had an extra AT grenade to keep the tank whoring in check.

Finally decided that I'm gonna give this a go. Watched a couple YouTube videos from the beta and I think it could be a lot of fun.

    Re: Battlefield 1

Looking forward to this, cleared up 80gb space on the SSD. I loved the sounds & the graphics of the game. it's really put you into the grittyness of ww1. yet there are still elements that needed improving. Pistol fight were'nt that good between 6 to 7 bullets to kill someone, way too many snipers, light Tank was OP. Getting stuck on map objects normal stuff from the FrostBite Engine I wish they'd gone back to the same player physics of BF3 which for me will & is the best game out there in 'Battlefield'

Really enjoying this now, very immersive, good fun. UI needs some work and there's obviously some bugs in the game but they'll be tweaked out over time.

Pretty impressive and it's not even Bristol ridge based.

I bought the game today, downloaded it, all 40+ GB, had a few stoppages and failures in the download so I thought I would run a repair, 32GB of repair... how is that possible?!!?!

    God I hate EA

    Waste of £30 quid.

Thought this would be less spammy and a bit more tactical than BF4. I was wrong.

Maybe the update will sharpen the game play up a bit.

Btw using limpet mines to stop Tank trolling is proving quite effective! Snipers hiding on a cliff face though will continue to the bane of my life.
