For those of you that dont use a cycle helmet !!!

i have a full face halmet which i usually wear However sometimes for a 5 minute journey into town i may not always bother so this is for those of you like me that occasionally do the same

LUCKILY FLASH HAS COVERED SOME OF THE PURPLENESS

that was taken about 3 hours after i got back from hospital yesterday i was only doing a 2 minute ride and came round a corner at speed to find a 7 seater cab in the road i tried to stop but it was slippery and wheels locked up. I went pretty hard onto my right wrist which is currently unusable now and damaged my left too and then smashed my face into the taramc with enough force to fracture my cheekbone (my first fracture/break in 31 years of life)

My right eye will barely open and pain level is pretty high.

But anyway what this is about guys no matter how short the journey is ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET GUYS AND GIRLS. or you might end up looking like that

Ouch, hope you have a speedy recovery! Point well noted, just like using a seatbelt, it's not worth the risk.

OUCH! Hope you mend quickly. Nearly all my scars are from bike accidents and so I always wear a helmet nowadays, but it is a salient reminder.

Best wishes for a speed recovery - when i think of all those years i spent road training with no helmet in the hills of the midlands (and the speeds I used to do)...

Re: For those of you that dont use a cycle helmet !!!

You got sympathy sex for that yet?

mate of mine died about 10 years ago now, was riding his bike, fell off, whacked his head on the floor, brain swelled, goodnight Joe..
The bit that annoys me now is one of his other friends sisters rides everywhere on a bike, she started to wear a helmet, great you might think, but she wears it at an angle and if she went down on her face (other than improving her looks) the helmet wouldnt do anything or even touch the floor until she rolled over..

Re: For those of you that dont use a cycle helmet !!!

It annoys the arse off me seeing people wearing helmets in that manner - it'll do her more harm than good if it's sat on the back of her head. As soon as it hits the floor, it's going to get pulled off her head because it's not sat on the right part, and it's going to turn into a strangulation device PDQ.

A helmet that's too loose is worse than no helmet at all.

Wouldn't of guessed you were 31 looking at that picture
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Looks painful mate, you have my sympathy's and I wish you a speedy recovery!

I must admit, I'm pretty bad about donning a helmet at all and I should really know better, been in my fair share of spills and re-arranged my face pretty good on one occasion. In fact on that occasion what really pissed me off was that I totalled my new bike!

    How did you bike fair?
