    Fatality FPIN9 video problems....please help

Hi guys. I just got the new Fatality board. I like it fine, except that my video card (7900GTO) isnt being detected correctly.
I get a display, and in Control Panel I can see that the card hast been identified.
Its listed as a VGA card, and so vid performance is poor as the 7900 isnt turned on "properly".
I have installed the motherbaord drivers and tried to install the latesst Nividia display drivers..but it tells me that no nvidia hardware exists on my machine.
This card worked fine before in my old rig, and I assume its working, albeit not properpy, since I do have display.
I have installed the card to the top most PCI slot, as per the manual, and it does have the supplemental power supply attached...but still no joy

Has anyone got any suggestions please?

some of the nvidia drivers are incompatible with their own 650 sli chipset, iread somewhere. Please experiment with other release drivers for it to work correctly.

Will dig up more info for you when I have my GPU up and running

    Please please please do!

Are you having the same issues?

Nvidias site is now very difficult to negotiate, I was told to go for the "international " driver, listed on the right of the downloads section...

If you have the same board, and you manange to get it working I would be very interested to know what drivers you got it working with. Never has this issue before, and its more than a little bit irritating.

    Thanks dan.

Did you have any issues with it not identifying your video card? Also I am pretty sure I tried the 93.71's last night, thats display driver right? Well my mobo bits get isntalled ok off the nforce drivers ( ethernet etc) but vid card is "vga" and wont do a display drivers install....

That shouldn't make any difference but it did remind me that when I installed XP I had slight video driver issue as well.

I installed with the rig set to sli mode so when I installed the vid drivers it would just detect straight away that sli was possible. However the drivers I installed (i think beta ones)wouldn't run sli so had to downgrade to 93.71 as well.

On the fatality fpin9 the default "normal " postion is one pci card, and it goes in the top slot. Other than that it should work just fine.....

Do you mean pci or pci-e, if it's pci where are you getting the info from as it would explain one of my problems.

Well PCI doesnt exist as pare as I know, its just that people refer to PCI express as PCI..

My problem was sorted, I ordered a new video card ( already had it on order, ntothing to do with this board) and it installed fine. So I dont know what the issue was with the 7900, wish I did. But thanks for the help lads
