Ok i installed the new BIOS chip over the weekend and i still get a 7F error and Blank Screen.

I tested all my computer hardware, CPU, RAM, GFX, PSU and its all working properly. It seems to me that the 14 update has done some damage to the board itself. So ive had enough of messing alround and i want my money back so its time to RMA the board and buy a differnt one from someone else.

I just like to thank Sean for sending a replacement BIOS chip and have no problem sending it back.

    Yikes!
Having had the same problem after trying to use the 14 BIOS revision I really hope that that it didn't fubar my AW9D-max too!
Should be getting a new bios chip with revision 13 on it this week (thanks, Dave), so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

    Good luck Optical668.

i would 1st try to get hold of or borrow another psu and give that a try,i think with a 400w psu you might just be pushing it over its limit, just my thought though

Well im going to swap the PSU over to something more powerful and see what goes down. Its kinda strange tho that when i first got all the bits and put them together it all booted up fine.

Im thinking about a Hiper 580w Type-R, but is hearing some mixed reviews. I was also thinking about Corsair HX 620W

Can someone recommend me some other PSUs please. I used the PSU Calculator on here http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

It came back with recommended PSU wattage: 480w

both work great with the AW9D MAX

I'd agree the Corsair is very good quality. More expensive but worth the extra.

Well i dont what the **** is going on now but this motherboard is ****ing unstable.

The Blank screen is back after completely turning off the computer today, lost all my BIOS settings is well. Managed to get the screen back after hitting the restart button half a dozen times then got into the BIOS screen and checked everything and set it all up AGAIN ffs, saved my settings restarted and BEHOLD another blank ****ing screen, so same method again hit the restart button many times and powered off a few times and got the screen back. This happened about 3 times when i was in the BIOS and exited.

Yeh your thinking WTF is it now.

Also ive noticed i seem to no longer be able to overclock my computer the same as before, if i overclock **** starts glitching like audio for example.....

Thats it i cannot be ****ed with this random **** anymore, after all the **** thats happened to me i really really have had a ****ing enough of this peice of crap motherboard.

I mean wtf is going on with the BIOS not saving your settings after completly powering off? Thats just bad ****ing **** from Abit for a start.
why the hell is BIOS 14 so unstable?

Seems perfectly clear to me that Abit really have lost it all together, and im RMAing this heap of crap and getting something else i didnt pay £140 for a motherboard that works when it ****ing wants 2.

Abit should be renamed to A**** Motherboard because it appears to be just that.

Sorry but i am so really pissed off.
