Motherboard is easy.... QuadGT no question.

I would have suggested an E6600, but with RAM you will bust the budget a bit... Others will have a better CPU suggestion I am sure.

Core 2 Duo without a doubt, It easily possible getting a board, RAM and CPU for £300. Depends how high spec you want to go though.

Well I think flowers are in order, plus whatever else comes to mind

If you can get another £17.00 and a few pennies you get this

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=535318
    QuadGT

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=430633
    E6600 Core 2

    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=26987

    Patriot DDR 2 800mhz

    Total £318.04
However order the Patriot ram through Google Checkout get a tenner off to bring it to £308.04 add £6.95 for the ram delivery.

Better get down on your knees cause that would be a sweet setup.

have a read of what users have found.
Seems it can overclock to 1000 with the right voltage and chip.

At the end of the day it fits within, well just, your budget. Seems pretty stable.
I have the 667 version in another PC and its stable at 800mhz with no additional voltage needed.

Another recommendation for the QuadGT if you REALLY dont need SLI. Its a brilliant board, best I've used by far.
