There the dangerden stuff on the mosfet block everything else was tight and secure so I dont know if its the block itself or I didnt tighten it but I took a wrench to it before hand, nothing got turned on so fingers crossed it will be ok currently using my backuo pc.

Right update, I think its a bad design for a block as you have to use the spacers that come with the block (no instruction manual may I add) otherwise when you screw the fittings in it pushes the blcok apart and lets water escape so Im currently fiddling around with my fittings as the ones they supplied arent long enough to go through the spacer and into the block, just my luck. Oh and all of my pci and pci-e slots were like swimming pools just finished off a pack of ear buds cleaning up the mess.

Oh dear, hope everything is ok! I saw the spacers in the photo, wasnt sure what they were for exactly.. Perhaps worth waiting a while for scan to get their IN9 mosfet block out...

Well I didnt think anything of it until I saw how much was coming throught the block when I put water through it in the bathroom to see what was going on, just put the spacers in and copious amounts of plumbers tape and theres no leak when I passed water through it in the bathroom so it looks as if it will be fine just got to wait till tomorrow till everything dries out as it soaked alot but thats what I get from being the guinea pig.

wELL MATE YOU get it sorted out, Ill usethe idea myself cheers for being the terst monkey bud1

by the way i Once posted a thread with MY modification using not water but air please see t hread.

I willl repost a extract of that thread here

OK folks here is an easier and far less risky mod for your IN932 max motherboard
complete with images (if they work this time grrrrrrrrrr)

abit sent me some fans and a copper heatsink for the pwm's yes it is actually copper and not the faux copper on the in932 max.

Before going further I would like to mention the fact that the north and southbridge HSF does not need to be an abit make. You could source your own third-party fans. I believe Johnny Bravo has a suggestion on this for you all on this matter.

First is a full view of the motherboard with the modifications.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/71909665@N00/383659414/

Next is the PWM heatsink. You may noticed that it is the EXACT same heatsink that is on the AB9 Quad GT

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/71909665@N00/383659417/

You may also notice the 'scratch test I performed on the heatsink to see if if it actually copper.

Next we look at the northbridge heatsink, Note that it is the same heatsink that was on the old fatality AA8XE board.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/71909665@N00/383659412/

.......and here is the HSF on the southbridge
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/71909665@N00/383659408/

This is the BEFORE results before the modfication

    http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne...2444463&size=o

    This is the AFTER modification

    http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne...3659419&size=o

Please bare in mind both of the results were taken after FOUR days of constant ORTHOS tests.

As we can see there is a massive differnce on the temps on those PWMS and a big difference on that Northbridge.

Also note: MORE tests have to be done. I.E putting a second HSF like the one on the southbridge onto the northbridge.

THe blue aluminium HSF the underneath has been sprayed blue, clean this off.

See what happens if I replace the standard fan with a faster Akasa one on the northbridge.

Replace the brown thermal sheet on north/southbridge with AS5 and monitor temp differnces.

SO as you can see there is much more room for improvment and alot more tests to do, but as you can see the massive temp differnces by doing this mod.

Hope the links work this time. grrrrrr
<edit> its to be noted that on the final results the CPU and GPU ONLY were wc cooled just like the inital results. On the final test I connected the Northbridge fan to the cpu HSF power socket.

I tell you this block better be worth it, I've got my board drying out but I'm not testing it untill tomorrow just to be safe I think the graphics card should be ok as it had a light drowning but the soundcard I have no hope of it working as you can still see the moisture everywhere but fingers crossed it should be ok as mct 5 isnt conductive.

    OK this should help
ONCE ALL components have dried out, take some cuetip cotton buds and some Icypropol alchohol and clean the boards. This should get your sound card back too mate. Costs about 5£ from Maplins

Rght it all seems dry now, been a 30c room since it happened , so I'm about to put it all back together and if there is any liquid hiding somewhere it should'nt have any efect as its supposed to be non-conductive so here goes nothing.

Right, I dont care if this is a double post, but abit I'm singing praises here I can't beleive it but it still works and it booted up the second time with a 424fsb just amazing I've basically drenched it today (by accident) and it still overclocks.

    Edit time:

Right I've uploaded a few pictures of said block for everyones enjoyment, and the board is still working.

nice one mate, only one thing is, Where do you put the spacers etc, to prevent someone else having the same disaster ? Since there are no instructions can you do a short guide for this block buddy?

    cheers
