I have tried a DIMM in every slot, and pairs etc... This morning I have put the 4 x 1GB DIMM's in my D975XBX2, system at work. It boot's fine and is running OK. You say that check the JEDEC but how do I do this as I can not even get to a BIOS screen?

    Regards

does this mean a single DIMM in each slot individually or all 4 at once - it's a bit unclear?

Well I have tried every combo.

One DIMM in every slot, two DIMM's in slots 1 and 2 then 3 and 4, followed by two blue and two black,, then four DIMM's in four slots.

I am happy with the DIMM's as I have been running doom3 and mprime for four hours and now memtest v1.70 for 3 hours in my system at work.
