    Hi gmourao.
I am going to flash to bios 18 (currently 17) and let you know what happens.
I have a 6300 at 400FSB but going easy to 450 so will let you know if I experience any problems.
I run Vista too. The northbirdge is at 1.45 and is a little warm but not HOT at the moment.

Ok just flashed and so far it's woking ok.
I'll do more testing in the next few days and let you know.
Try maybe the 17 again and check if it works properly.
If you don't get the same results, clear cmos and reconfigure.
Possibly when you flashed something went wrong.
