    an8-32x won't post

    Hey all,

I built my rig a couple years ago and all of a sudden it won't even post. I'm tried clearing the cmos, removing all the components and trying to post, yet all I get is a post code of 9.0. and F.0. when I try to hit the reset button. I've removed the cmos battery and replaced it aswell. Any Ideas?

Have you tried a different power supply?

I haven't yet, but I really doubt that it is the problem. I'm leaning towards the BIOS chip being fried. I have a 600 watt seasonic PSU. I'm trying to find the time to replace the bios.

Unless you have a very good reason to suspect that the BIOS has been 'fried', It probably isn't buddy
Chips just don't fry them self like that - What makes you suspect its the cause?

Sounds like a problem I had. It just randomly died one day, had to RMA it.

or, Have you put the screw into the hole near the RAM slots that isn't insulated?
