    quick help

    what is
    "BIOS ROM checksum error"

    it keeps asking for floppy system disk and i cant even get to the stage to enter the bios :/ and now it wont go away lol

    What motherboard is it?

    Looks like your bios is corrupted.

    yes re-set CMOS
    and ab9
    any way to fix it?

    will need the BIOS flashing again, nothing you can do though, RMA or remove the bios and post it to abit for a reflash?

    could take the battery our for a few hours, see if that does it?

    Do you have a floppy drive? If so then put the bios files onto a floppy disk and restore the bios.

    You mean like just when updating the bios??

    i will try that, i only got version 19 on floppy tho

    mmm it works now i like made it back to the bios v. 10 lol
    but can i ask questions about linux in here or rong place? cus windows pissing me off so i trying linux

    oh, well the RAM aswell. its 2 x DDR 533 1gb sticks
    i just wanna install linux to see if i can install anything but im getting anoying errors.... lol
