    whats Abits best offerings ?

I'm looking to upgrade to a quad core next month, basically i have been with asus for years, there support is not the best of late and being as though you have a support section here, i figure why the hell not..

So, as far as quad cores go, whats the best offering you have at the mo motherboard wise?

What do you want it for???,

Cant go wrong with a quad GT, or if you prefer the P35 chipset a IP35 Pro, or the 680i might be for you.

There all good motherboards but I'd recommend the IP35 pro for overclocking, Quad gt if your looking for a stable reliable motherboard and the 680i if you want to go sli at some point.

so i would need the 680i based chipset to go SLI then, it is a strong possibility should nvidia ever sort out decent SLI drivers, i just changed from 2x7900GTX's to a 8800GTX as i was fed up of my 2nd card throttleing down (its a major fault that only shows its ugly head if you have live monitoring of both clock speeds, so god only knows how many other thousands of SLI owners dont know this happens)

i dare say i will overclock, but im not manic clocker who wants to rinse every last mhz out the CPU, dunno if i will ever go as far as water cooling TBH. the Abit IN9 does look nice, and i see the sata ports are not blocked if i put my 8800gtx in there, if the quad core 3ghz is not stupid money i dare say that would go in and i would be happy to get 2-400mhz clock if possible, wouldnt be fussed at 4ghzx4 tho, sounds fast enough for FSX

Quad gt in x-38 format seems quite nice if anyone wants to throw one over here I'd be happy to test it

IP35 Pro has the SATA ports turned as well so that they don't get blocked.
Think that we're looking at September for IX38.
