Question Correct settings for ram or not?

    Hi,
    quick question regarding ram settings

Not new to builds and overclocking but was looking at the settings for ram in the bios.

    Trfc0 for DIMM1 = 105 ns
    Trfc1 for DIMM2 = 75 ns (should it not be 105?)
    Trfc2 for DIMM3 = 75 ns(empty)
    Trfc3 for DIMM4 = 75 ns(empty)

    Ram is 2x 1Gig Crucial Ballistix PC2 6400 DDR2(kit)

    Timings are:
    4-4-4-12 2T
Ram volts are 2.2(and not 1.8v)

    Motherboard is Abit KN9 Ultra

Ram settings are on manual and not auto.
Anyone have any thoughts on the above Trfc1 setting ?

Those settings are perfectly normal. I wouldn't recommend making any changes unless you know exactly what you doing as any changes made may result in an unstable system.

If that is so then why is it Trfc0 for DIMM1 = 105 ns
    And Trfc1 for DIMM2 = 75 ns ?

Same ram in both slots(1 and 2 as it should be).
The ram is a matched pair so how come it does not get set as the same for both slots? Those settings of 105 ns and 75 ns are what the auto setting in the bios does to it.
Then when I change to manual so that I can set up the correct timing for that ram(5-5-5-18 2t is not the right setting)
and the correct DRAM clock setting then it will be DIMM1=105 ns and DIMM2=75 ns.
IF DIMM1 sets as 105 ns then why not DIMM2?
Does not make any sense for it to run with one at 105 and one at 75.
Why not both at 75 ns or both at 105 ns?

tbh I don't know why the settings are like that but I can confirm it is perfectly normal on the KN9 series. If you would like a can put in a request to find out more information.

    Thanks,
yes, if you could do that for me.

Have set DIMM1 to 105 ns and DIMM2 to 105 ns and have had no problems so far.

Seems a little faster but would have thought that 75 ns would be faster.

Have seen that it is not only the KN9 that sets the first DIMM to 105 ns and all others to 75 ns after changing from auto to manual.
