    IN9-32Max bios nightmares

I built a system based in the IN9-32Max for a friend and its been a bloody nightmare. The NB gets rediculously hot with no OC and requires active cooling. However my main problem is when the system throws a hissy fit for no reason. Its been fussy about memory and now it is refusing to boot after running relatively fine for a few months

It is running bios 14 and is refusing to post, we get a whole host of error codes, C0, A0, 66 to name a few but predominantly the first two.

    The PSU is fine, as is the memory, the entire system is only 4 months old, here is the spec;

    720W ENERMAX EIN720AWT PSU
    ABIT IN9 32X-MAX
    TwinX 4GB TWIN2X4096-6400C5
    Intel Q6600 Quadcore CPU G0
    Scythe MUGEN Infinity
    Scan Nvidia 8800GTX 768MB OEM
    500G Seagate SATA2 ST3500630AS

I have built so many machines Ive lost count but this one is an absolute PITA and I cannot find any good reason for this to be happening.

Would appreciate the thoughts of the Hexus gurus floating around

Try using one memory stick. Then swap them over to discount that.

Is that PSU an Infiniti? If so, there are reported problems with those and a few boards at the moment.

he has 4 sticks of 2GB of the above spec, I dont want to guess how many combinations we have tried but its safe to say we have exhausted that aspect. I have to admit the PSU being the culprit did occur to me so we are looking at testing other PSUs in this setup although the infinity works fine in other systems.

    Appreciate the response fella

are you trying to overclock that Q6600 at all?
If so it's not a good match with the original 680is without a GTL mod & you can't expect to get more than low - middle 300s fsb.

All nF6xx chipsets are fussy about memory & run a very hot northbridge - just a very buggy chipset series.

no, no OC needed for the user, he just dl movies and plays WoW, have to say it was a disaster from the minute I started to put it together, he has now ordered an IP35 Pro and a Corsair 750W TX and is basically gonna shelve the IN9-32Max and 720W Enermax Infinity which are less than 4 months old
