    IP35 Pro memory help

Hi all. I have an IP35 Pro which was working fine with 2 x 1gig OCZ platinum DDR2 800. I decided to buy another 2 sets of these and use my original 2 in another build. I got nothing but problems after installing the 4 x 1gig sticks of memory in. Internet explorer refused to run without the "caused a problem and will shut down" message, and games and programs refusing to install. One example was Battlefield 2 giving an "MD5" error while installing. Nero was the same.
Used memtestx86 and found that one stick was faulty. RMA'd them back to Overclockers and received replacements today.

Installed the new memory and same problems. Tried overclockers suggested memory timings, tried clear cmos and setup bios again, still the same. Trying memtest again on replaced memory.

Faulty mobo or memory maybe. Any ideas ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

*edit* Tested all 4, memtest failed. Tested 2 at a time and both sets are testing ok, just not testing all 4 installed at once.

    Re: IP35 Pro memory help

I think the OCZ specs are 2.1v. Default for the motherboard is 1.8v, so try increasing the DDR voltage.

If that doesn't do the trick, try upping the MCH voltage a notch.

    Re: IP35 Pro memory help

Tried these setting that Overclockers sent:

    Voltage Control
    DDR2 voltage 2.000v
    MCH voltage 1.29v
    ICH 1.05v voltage 1.09v
    ICHIO Voltage 1.55v

    Advanced chipset features
    DRAM timings manual
    CAS latency -5
    Ras to CAS -5
    Ras precharge -5
    precharge -15

Tried 2.1V DDR2 and upped the MCH to 1.30V also. Still the same problems and Overclockers will not swap them for another brand or 2 X2gig of the same, even if I paid the difference inc delivery. Looks like I'm going to be stuck with 4X1gig sticks of unusable OCZ memory.
