News Direct from abit in Tiawan

    News from the front desk:

Abit x48 will be out shortly: Word from the FAE is that there is a BIOS problem that needs to be addressed.

Whilst I was on the above subject I asked them to pay close attention to the problem of using PSC modules@2 gig density in conjunction to any potential divider problems.

However the ABIT X48 is a DRR3 ONLY board, which should have its advantages over other boards.

Remember the X48 IS A DDR3 tuned board, most other board manufacturers have had to de-tune their boards to be compatibile with DDR2! So hopefully we should see less BIOS errors re: RAM divider problems than other boards.

FAE Darren apologises for the delay of the x48 launch, which I said the users would appreciate a board with a Superb bios. Learn from the mistakes with the X38 quad GT and take your time. However since the board is this late it had better be perfect!

    ABIT P45 NEWS SOON:

ABIT X48 photos should be out next week

Re: News Direct from abit in Tiawan

Nice info, I was interested in X48 but to me doesnt offer anything new, it has a nice layout & looks perfect for people using water cooling as well as for people clocking on Air curtisy of no heatpipes.

IF X48 came with ICH 10 then maybe I would of bought the ABIT X48.

The board I'm definitly going to buy will be the Abit IP45 GT3: Intel P45 DDR3-1600, ATi CrossfireX Support.

was that a saved link because I can't find an obvious link on the site that takes you to that page ...?

the obvious one is Universal abit > Motherboard, Digital Speakers, iDome, AirPace, Multimedia which of course is somewhat different.

Was a saved link, looks like they have hidden the actual link (not linkable anymore) now & made a new link with the correct details, all is well.
