Havent see anyone try with that CPU, but my guess would be no. Please post here when you try it though.

Good morning ABIT NL.
I've got a guy over at TRP that has an E8600 running on an IP35 PRO XE with BIOS 11.
He's having some problems with his memory, which is not why I am posting this. We can handle that.
I'm just letting you know that there is someone out there running an E8600 on an IP35 PRO series, albeit an XE.
Do you suppose there could be board revison issues?
I'll update as I learn more.
I saw this one as well

Flashed it, E8400 E0 aint happening. Worked first time, got into the bios, turned off the annoying beeper. Restarted and got code 87, cleared cmos a dozen times, code 87. Put the QX back in and off it went happy as larry. I'll add this Ip35 Pro is an early one, bought when they were released.
Thanks for posting the results, looks like the E0 bios they released is borked.....

For a moment there, I was beginning to think that I had lost my touch...............
So it's definitely something to do with the E0 stepping mod because I have used the E8400 (other stepping) on the IP35 PRO, and an early IP35 PRO at that, with much success.

Did you try the standard 17 bios from the main site? I have a few contacts saying they used the standard 17 bios and actually got the E0 to work albeit misreading temps. Btw, when it first booted it did report the temps and voltages correctly, just when it rebooted it fubared.
No I didn't try that one.
I tried one that I got at TRP and one from here.
Most likely they are one in the same now that you mention it.
The first time I thought perhaps I could have just gotten a faulty download.
I gave up after that.
Too late for me anyhow. I'm leaving the Q6600 here for good.
I found another board for the E8600.
Not an ABIT.
SADLY.
The BIOS from Rebelshaven is working with an E8600 for one of the guys over at ABIT Forums.
Not going to ever happen for me though. I threw in the towel after the second round.
I hope that they can get it all straightened out.
Hi Guys,
We got two updates, for the IP35 Pro and IP35P.
IP35P: (update 10/20)

IP35 Pro: (update 10/20)

Hi
Will there be a BIOS update for IP35 Pro XE to be compatible with the Q9650?
Regards
John
