    abit motherboard nf8-v

I lost use of my usb and keyboard and mouse thought it might be my power supply so installed a new one. Now the LED2 blinks red and absolutely nothing happens when I attempt to start the computer.

could this mean the motherboard is dead?

    Re: abit motherboard nf8-v

I have the same problem. My NF8 refused to work when I had plugged off power cord.
Led2 starts to blink when I plug back power cord.
I have found that Power On pin of PSU is somehow affecting +5V standby voltage - it is about 1.8V.
When the computer is cooled ( is taken to the cellar for an hour) it starts normally and works and works for hours until power cord is unplugged again.
Of course MB is to be replaced, but may be somebody have some ideas how to locate unstable element.
    All capacitors look fine.
    I have tried several PSU.

It was not so serious. USB connector was broken and it caused all problems.
