Can you shed any light on the problems he has had?
@Iron removing the cmos battery will not wreck the mobo. I have done it many a time.

You may want to have a chat with the guys on XtremeSystems. They have an active thread on the IP35Pro, sorry I cant be of any more help.

you shouldn't get the dual boot on a Pro - it's normally caused by the chipset setting the strap (design behaviour) but the uGuru chip seems to interfere/take over that & you shouldn't get it on uGuru equipped mobos.

    do you have a v1.0 or V1.1 IP35 Pro?
which version of uGuru are you running?

the hi lo siren sound is usually due to a temp, fan rpm or voltage being outwith the set warning parameters & normally if you bring up Eq whilst it's on the offending item will be highlighted in red.

i have bios version 11 so i think it means 1.1..tried 2 versions of uguru...the one from abit's site and the ne that comes on the cd..same result.
abit eq shows greens and no reds at all...the siren mostly happen while playing so when i press at+tab in order to switch to abit eq the siren stops immediately.

i have another question...is hd4870 compatible with this mobo or bios version? i get strange pauses like when playing games like the witcher enhanced edition and tomb raider legend..it shouldn't be like that ...would the mobo bios update improve the video card's performance?

also i'v registered at the board that dart posted about and my account is still not activated so i can't post about my problem...how can i contact the admins there?

Takes a few days for approval by the admins.

Stuttering may well be data being swapped to the HDD, I get it on Far Cry.

ok i'll wait for the activation to be confirmed.
i didn't get strutting in tomb raider legend on my old 8800gts .. but now when game tips are displayed i get pauses like frame drops also at specific locations i get pauses when entering areas and stuff like that....on the other hand in the switcher enhanced edition no matter what setting i use even the low setting has the same stuttering.

8.12...tried 8.11, 810, and 8.5 witch no luck in fixing this.
the stuttering usually happens if there is text displayed on screen..like when when it displays the locations and new areas names in the witcher enhanced edition...as for tomb raider legend i get this whenever tips are shown..is that a 2d display problem in hd4870?

Re: strange alarm or siren sound on abit ip35 pro offlimits

hey guys it's me again..sorry for the confusion cus my mobo is actually ip35 and not pro..my mistake.
anyway i managed to update to bios version 18 and after everything was updated i turned the system of, cleared the cmos turned it back on and then encountered a strange problem..
the the red color seems to be lost on screen...everything has green and blue colors but no red so the color displaying is wrong now.

it's always displayed like that from the start even before booting windows so it dosen't have to do anything with updating video drivers...

    here is what i tried
1-used my monitor in another system and it was fine with correct colors and all
2-replaced the video card and the same problem is still there even with other video cards
3-i put back my video card and still the colors aren't correct

so my video card is ok and my monitor is ok as well..what's happening?

how can a bios update do that to screen colors and what should i do to fix it?
