Exclamation HELP! KN9 CD is missing and I cant find anywhere to download the drivers from!

Does anybody know where i can get hold of drivers for a KN9?! Have just formatted my system and in the process of trying to rebuild it after some severe problems with Windows SP3 not allowing me to install anything, but i have managed to install windows no problem however i am unable to locate my KN9 motherboard drivers disc. i moved house 3 weeks ago and cannot find it in any of the boxes etc so i fear that it may have been thrown out by the missus! Unfortunatly without the driver CD i cannot install my network card therefore cannot get onto the internet (i am currently having to borrow my brothers laptop!). I have searched everywhere for drivers for the motherboard but to no avail! they either re-direct me to the aBit website which either doesnt load or it asks me for a password. or the drivers i do find like the one from the nVidia website come up with various error messages! as you can imagine i am getting quite frustrated with the situation so any help or pointers in the right direction will be much appreciated! i am even willing to buy a driver CD of anybody who has a spare/old motherboard they dont want! lol!

If it's a KN9 (not a KN9 Ultra ) iirc it uses an nVidia nF4 Ultra chipset so get those from nVidia's site.

iirc audio is a Realtek so get that from their site (think that it's maybe a Realtek LAN too?).

The KN9 LAN is built into the chipset (standard Nvidia LAN), so it'll be included with the chipset drivers. Since those are causing problems, it might be a good idea to get an old version. Guru3D normally has a decent archive of drivers (I can't link to them; not allowed to post URLs yet).

The sound is almost certainly Realtek. They've only got two drivers: the AC'97 one and the HD Audio one. I'm pretty sure that the KN9 just uses AC'97.

Here is all the info on your board, the LAN is nvidia and as stated above is part of your chipset drivers. The drivers are still available from either abit or the indvidual chip makers.

Re: HELP! KN9 CD is missing and I cant find anywhere to download the drivers from!

thanks for the help, still having some problems though! i have downloaded the zip files off the abit site now and when i unzip them they are all coming up as corrupted files and they will not run. this was the same problem i was having with the nVidia site and the 3rd party websites i found! i am guessing this is most likely to be a problem with my system given that its every file i try to access, but any ideas how to solve it??!!

tbh if you've installed SP3 I would have expected that to have all the drivers that you needed.

iirc download corruption was a problem with nVidia's Network Access Manager so if you've installed that either remove it or turn it off & see if things improve.
