    Abit ip35 Pro Motherboard Overheating

    Basically I was playing a game (Portal!) and the PC started beeping. I thought it was my HD (which according to speedfan was at 50-52 but thats another issue), but then I realized i had enabled the temp monitoring in the bios.

    My cpu says its cool at 30C (beep at 75)
    the system says its at 43C Beeps at 55
    and the PWM - 52C beeps at 90

    I assume its the system that is overheating. I was wondering how I might be able to improve the cooling for the system. I have a few case fans (3, 2 back 1 front) already.

    Judging by the temps you're posting, it's not a temperature alarm. Probably a voltage alarm, or a fan RPM alarm. Use Abit uGuru to see which one it is:

    Those were the idle temps, sorry for not specifying.

    Also, it hasnt happened since, so when it does i'll load the util and find out.
