AN8 32X Post Code 9.0

About 2 weeks ago while playing FO3 my pc locked up. On restarting the pc froze at code 9.0. Tried several times to restart using the usual methods(clear cmos,remove mobo battery),all to no avail. After googling the problem I removed the mobo from the case & tried booting up with just the cpu & cooler. After several attempts it fired up & i rebuilt the pc. All was going well until 2 days ago when the same thing happened again. Unfortunately this time the mobo will not boot, again showing the code 9.0.

This is what i have tried so far:

Removed mobo battery & cleared cmos overnight - code 9.0
Tried booting mobo & cpu with another psu - code 9.0
Checked PC for electrical shorts - none found
Removed mobo from PC & tried booting mobo with just cpu & cooler - code 9.0

As it stands I am waiting for a new bios chip,hoping this will cure it.

After spending hours googling the problem the general consensus is that the mobo is dead.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

9.0. is usually either power (dieing/inadequate/incompatible PSU, short etc.) or BIOS related (corrupted, unsupported CPU etc.).
seems like you have addressed most of that assuming that the other PSU was adequate & healthy.

am having the same problem,i tried everything except the psu since i only have one at this time and the bios,which am really think could be the problem because am using the psu now with another motherboard also how the hell do i get in contact with abit i called them and the phone sure aint working

a) where are you?
b) an AN8 32X is almost certainly out of warranty
c) abit was basixcally closed down by their parent company a year ago leaving only a small warranty support staff behind

you should have started youre own thread or at the very least offered that info in your initial post ...

Has this system been running previously or is it a new build?
it's quite possible for a psu to work with 1 mobo/system & not another.
a complete system spec. would be rather useful ...

didn't realize is in a thread that was not an ip35 pro i was searching for info on code 9.0
