    Abit IP35-E and E6300 2.8Ghz

I need help. I ordered an intel pentium dual core 2.8GHz for my abit motherboard because I thought it was compatible. On the Abit website here:http://www.abit.com.tw/cpu-support-l...p35_ip35-e.htm It mentions the E6300 as being compatible.
After having a look around, i found that there are 3 models of E6300 http://processorfinder.intel.com/Lis...earchKey=e6300 and 2 different speeds.

Does this mean that all the models are compatible with my motherboard?

I already bought an E5400 that didnt work with it and now im worried

with everest or cpu z you are able to iedntify current Bios Version

I´m using one AW9D-MAX and IP35 (same Bios version like yours), I like that boards too much to replace them to one newer P45 board only to use one Dual Core Pentium because the choice of suitable and working CPUs is very well

    I used a E7300 (AW9D-MAX) and Xeon 3110 (IP35)

comparing cuurent prices in germany E7300 (~ 70 €uro) or E8400 (~ 125 €uro) the difference to Dual Core Pentium E5400/E6300 (~70 €uro) is not too much - imho same you will loss to sell your IP35-E and pay again for a new LGA 775 board

The last couple numbers at the bottom of the main screen is the bios version.
But beta bios usually show as 00 or 0b so even tho its beta 14 or what ever it still show as one of those.

its recognising the cpu now but still wont boot to windows
You didn't happen to have a raid setup before the bios flash?

Could be a video driver problem. Try booting in safe mode or with VGA mode.
Hit F8 key as its about to boot to the OS. Pick VGA or safe mode & see it it makes it to windows.

use your IP35-E and one E5200 - give him some FSB and it will work like one E5400 or more and save your money

I don't really mean to bump this, but I have an Pentium E6300 (Wolfdale) working on my IP35-E.

    926962 at the CPU-Z Validator

Neither overclocking front-side bus nor half-multipliers seem to be working. I'm using the m630a18 BIOS (the most recent).

    Bobsama

forums DOT hexus DOT net/abit-care-hexus/149415-bios-updates-intel-e0-stepping DOT html

Get the modded bios, it fixes half multipliers and the 98 degrees error - it helped me with E6300 and IP35,

Replace "DOT" with real "." (dots hehe) cause I'm too new to post URLs
