I have the IX38 Quad GT with a Q6600 8gb memory. When I installed Win 7 RTM 64bit it installs okay (no drivers are yet installed). When the install completes I can go into sleep mode okay.

However, when I close down win 7 for the first time after the install is completed then upon re-starting the Sleep function ceases to work. When I ask Windows to go into sleep mode the screen goes black for 1 second and then the win log on screen re-appears.

Any ideas if this is a driver issue? I've turned off the setting on my Lan card that allows Windows to awaken from lan activity but this doesn't prevent the issue.

Could this be because I have not loaded any drivers? The only intel x38 drivers I can find appear to be still at RC stage.
